Location: East Midlands (Office-based with flexibility)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package

We are working in partnership with a growing and highly regarded Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering innovative design and installation solutions across commercial and residential sectors.

With over 30 years’ combined experience, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality M&E projects, combining in-house design expertise with excellent customer service and cost-effective delivery. Their commercial projects typically range from £20k up to £2 million, with this role focusing on schemes up to £1 million.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Design & Build Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding team.

The Role

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in pricing and securing projects, working closely with internal design and delivery teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed mechanical estimates for design & build projects
• Reviewing tender documentation, specifications, and drawings
• Producing accurate cost plans and tender submissions
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Supporting value engineering and cost optimisation
• Working collaboratively with the in-house design team

The Candidate

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Proven experience in mechanical estimating (HVAC / plumbing bias)
• Background within M&E / Building Services contractors
• Experience pricing commercial projects (ideally up to £1M+)
• Strong understanding of design & build projects
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and commercial awareness
