Location: Blaby, Leicestershire
Salary: From £25,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-time | Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent | Office-based for first 6 months

This company is a reputable and growing Accountancy Practice based in Blaby, is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied, client-focused role within a well-established firm.

About the Role:

As the Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Processing client invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Reconciling bank statements and accounts
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Assisting with payroll processing for clients
  • Ensuring financial data accuracy and regulatory compliance

This role offers a broad scope of work and the chance to develop your accounting career within a professional practice setting.

What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A strong background in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal

Previous experience in a practice environment is highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate with transferable experience.
