From a specialist Legal Recruiter’s perspective, senior Employment hires are becoming increasingly pivotal—particularly for firms investing heavily in their regional platforms.

I am currently instructed to appoint an Employment Partner (or ambitious Legal Director) into Worcester.

This is a compelling opportunity to join a Top 50 UK law firm that is actively redefining the delivery of legal services. With over 1,400 professionals, 30+ UK locations, and a client base exceeding 10,000 businesses, the firm combines national scale with strong regional presence.

The Team & Offering
The Employment team advises both employers and senior individuals on a broad spectrum of workplace matters—from contracts, grievances, and disciplinary issues through to discrimination, whistleblowing, and tribunal representation.
The focus is firmly on delivering practical, commercially-minded advice to a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to large corporates.

The Opportunity
This hire will play a key role in strengthening the firm’s Employment capability across the Midlands. You will have the platform to:

  • Lead on complex and high-value employment matters
  • Develop and grow client relationships across the region
  • Work closely with Corporate, Regulatory, and Commercial teams on cross-disciplinary mandates
  • Contribute to the continued expansion of a nationally recognised practice

Why This Role Stands Out
This company operates a corporate structure rather than a traditional partnership model—allowing for greater investment in people, technology, and growth.
For senior lawyers, this translates into a genuinely supportive, collaborative environment with fewer internal barriers and a clear focus on client delivery.

What They’re Looking For

  • An established Employment Partner or senior lawyer ready to step up
  • Strong experience advising employers on contentious and non-contentious matters
  • A commercial mindset with a track record (or clear plan) for business development
  • A desire to be part of a high-growth, modern legal platform

The Bottom Line
Opportunities to build and shape an Employment practice within a well-invested, Top 50 platform—particularly in a key regional hub like Worcester—are rare.

For Employment specialists considering their next strategic move, this offers the chance to combine autonomy, support, and long-term growth.

If you’d be open to a confidential discussion, I’d be pleased to share further detail.
