Are you an experienced Compliance Manager with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring regulatory excellence? Our client, a prestigious and well-established legal practice in Cheltenham, is seeking a dynamic and proactive Compliance Manager to join their team.

The Role:

As the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all compliance matters within the firm, ensuring adherence to SRA regulations and other relevant legal and industry requirements. You will work closely with senior management and fee earners to develop and implement compliance policies, manage risk, and provide expert advice on regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, AML requirements, and other industry standards.
• Develop and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external regulators and ensure accurate reporting.
• Monitor and manage data protection and GDPR compliance.
• Stay up to date with regulatory changes and advise the firm on necessary adjustments.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in a compliance role within a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of SRA regulations, AML, and GDPR requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
• A recognised compliance qualification would be advantageous.
