IT Support Specialist

This Leicester based company, is part of a Multinational group of companies with a combined turnover in excess of $5 billion. They are pioneers in their fields of expertise and work at the forefront of engineering delivery across a number of industries, including; Optics, Bearings, Defence, Space, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical and Renewables. Through growth, and an internal promotion, they are now looking to add an IT Specialist to their team.

THE ROLE:

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be:

• Working within a Windows Server Environment – Consisting of 24 servers (Virtual and physical)
• Support and Maintenance of a telephone system (Mitel)
• Support of approximately 150 UK based users (office and home based), over 250 computers
• Support and maintenance of approximately 30 on site multifunction printers
• Support on software including: O365 and Solidworks
• Ensuring all IT equipment is protected and compliant within corporate requirements
• Ensure all IT Policies and Procedures are adhered to.

THE PERSON:

To be considered for this role,  you need to have at least 3 years experience of working within IT Operations, along with experience of leading and managing IT infrastructure projects. You will be expected to have excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, networks and databased along with excellent communication skills and the ability to talk to people with different IT capabilities.
