Lab Technician

The company Develop, Manufacture and Distribute mechanical systems for Racing, Aerospace and High-Performance Divisions, globally. They were founded in 1985 in Austria and have since grown all over the world.

As a Lab Technician, your main duties are as follows:
• To carry out mechanical testing checks to finished parts and inspection of machined parts to ensure highest quality standards are always maintained.
• Preparation of laboratory samples – to include preparation and etching of mounted samples
• Initial viewing of samples and parts in process – as required
• Machining of test bars
• Mechanical testing of test bars & finished parts – tensile, fatigue, hardness – as required
• Recording of lab data
• Production of Lab Certification for finished parts
• Assistance with final finishing operations of bolts and stud o Polishing (manual and automated) o Part marking o Deburring Social requirements

As a Lab Technician, we would be looking for these skills:
• Time management – ability to manage a variety of tasks at the same time
• Team orientated, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the company and colleagues
• Good standard of communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and flexibly, using own initiative
• Must be able to demonstrate high level of efficiency and attention to details and quality. Essential Operational tasks and responsibilities
• Previous experience in a laboratory/quality/inspection role within an engineering environment
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, check measurements
