Manufacturing Engineer

They are pioneers in their fields of expertise and work at the forefront of engineering delivery across a number of industries, including; Optics, Bearings, Defence, Space, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical and Renewables. Through growth,  and a recent acquisition, they are now looking to add a key member of staff to their Manufacturing Team

THE ROLE:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Driving Continuous Improvement and best practice within the Machine Shop, NPI Process and Supply Chain
• Working with all stakeholders (internal and external)
• Working closely with the R&D Team
• Responsible for making ‘Make or Buy’ decisions
• Lead Continuous Improvement activities
• Investigate new technologies for present and future needs

THE PERSON:

To be considered for this role,  it is essential that you are degree qualified within Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. You will also need to have a good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes, and a track record of working with manufacturing cells and R&D Teams. If you have knowledge of Navision and CNC Programming skills, that would also be advantageous.
