THE COMPANY:

This company is a leading Building Services contractor based within the East Midlands. Having been established for over 50 years, they are considered to be one of the most technically advanced M&E Design and Build Contractors in the UK. They directly employ their own Project and Site Managers, Design and Contract Engineers, CAD Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Operatives and Administrative personnel to ensure that they give their clients the most personal service available. Operating across a number of market sectors, this company pride themselves on working on some of the most prestigious jobs within the UK.

THE ROLE:

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be involved in procurement, contract administration, setting up sub contracts, sub contract valuations, measurement and final account negotiation. You will be monitoring the progress of sub contractors, cost forecasting and maintaining a good working relationship with all stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be representing the company at commercial meetings and produce quality written materials as and when required. Additional aspects of this role will include:

• To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
• Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
• Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
• Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
• Prepare submit and negotiate project final accounts.

THE PERSON:

The ideal Quantity Surveyor will be working within a Building Service environment at present and ideally be working at a Senior level.
