Synergy Personnel Services is partnering with a highly regarded, fast-growing national legal services provider to appoint a Senior Associate or Partner-level Regulatory Solicitor to join its established team in Oxford.

This is a senior opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to take a strategic role within a nationally recognised regulatory practice, working with a diverse client base including corporates, SMEs, and high-net-worth individuals.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role within a well-established regulatory team known for handling complex and high-profile matters. The team combines deep legal expertise with real-world regulatory and prosecutorial experience, offering clients clear, commercially focused advice.

At Partner level, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and direction of the practice, with a strong platform for business development and client leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading on complex regulatory matters, including:
    • Health & Safety and environmental investigations
    • Corporate manslaughter and serious incident response
    • Fraud, financial crime, and enforcement actions
    • Professional discipline and misconduct proceedings
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients during investigations, interviews, and prosecutions
  • Developing and implementing compliance and risk management strategies
  • Managing and mentoring junior team members
  • Driving business development initiatives and strengthening client relationships
  • Contributing to the strategic growth of the regulatory practice

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) in England & Wales
  • Significant experience in regulatory law, criminal defence, or investigations
  • Strong technical expertise across areas such as health & safety, environmental law, or financial crime
  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and deliver commercially focused advice
  • For Partner level: demonstrable business development experience and a following or clear plan to build one
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
